In just five years we’ve welcomed more than 150 resident artists including painters, sculptors, writers, musicians, photographers, poets, performing artists, scientists, gardeners, multimedia artists, and craftspeople, and so many more innovators to the Starfield Estate. Our ability to welcome these creators and dreamers would not be possible without your contribution.

Nestled among our Cape Ann quarries and surrounded by the fireflies and preserved quarry landscape we are sensitively stewarding, our resident artists have been inspired by the unique experience that the Manship property offers. “The place is imbued with artistic spirit or the spirit of artists past,” said Dan Jay, a resident artist in 2019 and 2021. In turn, they have inspired us to continue our mission to create space and time for art.
